Seguo la mafia da una decina d'anni, compresi tutti i processi e le deposizioni o i confronti fatti fare a voce di Favino è impressionante, uguale. su Falcone il regista poteva trovare di meglio. Rimango stupefatta da simili realtà, ma esistono e sono delle menti e Buscetta era anche una figura carismatica. Io mi chiedo come si possa scegliere una certa realtà. Che orrore. Eppure sono straordinari, innegabilmente intelligenti. Roba da pazzi. Pentito Cosa credevi che lo stato ti dava 5000.00euro al mese.? Povero fesso. Meglio riina.

The Traitor has wasted a series of really big opportunities, despite taking two and half very long hours of the viewers' time (definitely too much for the results it achieves.
The Traitor could have been the opportunity to explore in depth the complex and controversial personality of Tommaso Buscetta but the movie barely scratches the surface of this multifaceted character.
It could have been the opportunity to dig into the overall role of the "pentiti" of the mafia, the former "men of honour" turned into witnesses for the state; this was a very controversial, ambiguous and surely humanly difficult choice for those people yet again the movie misses its chance.
It could have been the opportunity to offer a deep look into a dramatic moment of the contemporary history of the Italian mafia, the bloody 80' and 90's, but these events are presented in a rather fragmented, disjointed manner, bordering sometimes the caricature (like the trial scenes.
The one thing to be saved of the movie is Favino's performance, really stunning.

Quando gli uccidevano i parenti se ne stava nascosto in Brasile non tornava non collaborava e non tentava suicidi quando l'anno estradato in italia iniziato a collaborare e a siulare suicidi x il semplice motivo che sapeva che nei carceri italiani moriva accoltellato, se era un uomo d'onore come dice non scappava e se scappava tornava nel frangente che gli uccidevano i parenti o si suicidata quando a visto che i uccidevano i parenti non avete capito nessuno che era io peggio dei mafiosi e anche un buffone.
